About 40 Rotarians, school officials, government dignitaries, and a lively audience of 120 third-grade students assembled for Babylon Rotary’s Third Annual Dictionary Project at the Babylon Memorial Grade School on March 2, 2016.

Project Chair Frank Seibert orchestrated an event filled program, including (1) presentations on the history and purpose of the Dictionary Project, (2) the mission and activities of Rotary International and of the Babylon Rotary Club, (3) proclamations awarded by local government officials to the project honoree and benefactor William P. France, (4) distribution of dictionaries and thesauri and a student appreciation award, and (5) a tutorial on effective use of the new reference books.

During the tutorial, most students sat in rapt attention, presumably absorbing the precious information and longing for the day when they too, can become Rotarians.
