Hello Fellow Rotarians:
I welcome you all to our new District 7255 TOGETHER AGAIN! What a great opportunity to make this a very successful year for Rotary.
It is an honor to serve as the first District Governor of the newly combined District 7255. Not in my wildest dreams would I have thought that I would become a District Governor, least of all the governor of all of Long Island, where I have made my home since 1981.
After two years of merger meetings we finally made it and we are TOGETHER AGAIN. Now we can remember our past and celebrate our history, triumphs, traditions, and fellowships with pride.
We have the opportunity to create a vibrant and growing district, increasing membership, creating new clubs, increasing our giving to the Rotary Foundation, and most of all fellowship with our friends to the west and to the east. I encourage you to get out of your comfort zone and make up a meeting at a club out of your immediate area. Go to their fundraisers and they will come to yours.
We face the future with imagination and generosity inspired by our new plan of action. We demand the best of the future and we will take with us the best of the past.
